Monday December 12, 2005
GlaxoSmithKline will be facing a Spring 2006 class action lawsuit in the UK against their antidepressant Seroxat. This drug is sold in the US under the brandname Paxil. The 1,500 litigants claim that they were not warned that the drug is addictive.

Paxil also can make you worse off than when you started. I was prescribed this drug at the age of 18, and I was only having trouble adjusting to going to a big college. After being on Paxil for a few weeks, I started thinking about what it would be like to die…then I walked out into a busy street! I had never had thoughts of dying; in fact, I feared death. This drug and many other drugs are over prescribed. How about if we focus on treating the person, and the situation, then evaluate if a chemical imbalance is the issue!
