What's Up With Britney Spears?

Tuesday January 8, 2008
There has been a lot of speculation going on over the past year about just what is going on with Britney Spears. Is it is drugs and alcohol that fuel her erratic behavior? Postpartum depression? Bipolar disorder? Maybe she's just spoiled by fame and easy money? Yesterday I heard Greta Van Susteren from Fox make what I thought were some very interesting comments. I don't have the exact quote, but she said something to the effect that maybe Britney's behavior (referring to her recent hospitalization) was just a normal response to the circumstances of losing her kids. Good question. Is what she is going through a normal response for a young woman with limited coping skills who has lost first her husband and then her children? Or is something deeper going on?

I think alot is going on with Britney and for some reason she hasn’t found the help she needs. All of the points you mentioned have some validity. I think the issue here is Where do you start? Mental issues, Addiciton issues, legal issues? My personal view is, until she gets clean and sober NOTHING can be accomplished.

You can’t get help if you do not want it! It’s obvious that Britney is out of control but what is she doing to help herself? Nothing! She is just digging the hole deeper and is ready to pull the dirt in after her! She needs to wake up and grow up! This is not pretend life.
