She is a well-published writer, having authored hundreds of articles on depression for About.com.

Nancy is also the president of Depression Haven, a non-profit organization which provides free chat rooms and a forum for those suffering from depression and mental illness.

Education:

Nancy has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Charleston and a Master of Science degree in Community Health Education from Old Dominion University.

After finally being diagnosed with depression at the age of 30 and seeing what a difference proper medical intervention made in my life, I became passionate about educating others.
