Question: What Is the Difference Between Psychotherapy and Pharmacotherapy?
Answer: Psychotherapy is often referred to as simply "therapy" or "talk therapy". It is usually practiced by psychologists. Pharmacotherapy is another name for drug therapy and involves the use of antidepressant medications. Only psychiatrists can prescribe medications.
