Lexapro (escitalopram) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used in the treatment of major depressive disorder.

Lexapro, the single-isomer of Celexa, is reported to be well-tolerated and may offer some distinct advantages over the drug it is derived from.
