Orgasmic Dysfunction

Definition: Failure to achieve orgasm through physical stimulation. Causes may include stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, worry, guilt, fear of painful intercourse, fear of pregnancy, dislike of the partner, the undesirability of the setting and drugs or alcohol. In women, this condition may be referred to as "frigidity" or "female sexual dysfunction." Taking drugs known as SSRIs are a common secondary cause of orgasmic difficulties.
