Definition: A class of antidepressant drugs which inhibit the movement of serotonin and norepinephrine back into the nerve endings which released them, thus making more of these two neurotransmitters available. Examples of SNRIs include venlafaxine (Effexor) and duloxetine(Cymbalta).
