Last week I was sent a link to a new site called Rateadrug.com, which I thought many of you might be interested in.
Visitors to this site can rate and review drugs that they've used - how well they worked, how bad the side effects were, etc. - and see what other visitors thought about the same drugs.
I believe this kind of feedback is useful because it's coming directly from actual patients rather than potentially being influenced by a pharmaceutical company's agenda.
One drawback I did see is that right now not many people have completed surveys so the results appear quite skewed. For example, many categories say that either 100% or 0% of respondents experienced that particular side effect, which probably means that only one person has completed a survey about that particular drug. More meaningful data should begin to appear as more people complete surveys.
The more data people provide, the better a resource this will become. I would recommend that everyone who reads this go over and fill out a survey about whatever drugs they have experience with. It's very easy to do and only takes a couple of minutes. The only personal information it collects is your email address, which is only used to verify that you are a real person.

Hello,
I have used prozac, zoloft, paxil and other SSRI’s to a numbing conclusion with impotence and sexual dysfunction that only made me feel worse… I just want to share with you a book that surprisingly helped me to feel better in just one read. Its titled Free Mind Free Body, a friend told me about it and the web site is freemindfreebody.com.
yours in feeling better,
Bill
Its a very informative website that u have suggested. I just filled up the survey form. Its high time people are aware about the drugs they take and the side effect which it migh cause them. General awareness about other drugs is also very crucial. I hope more such sites come in future.

Get Rid Of Your Depression
Many folks who have dogs consider them family members. Due to my experience with RIMADYL I set up a website listing the known dangers and risks caused by and/or associated with this canine drug at http://rimadyldeath.com
I took Stelazine, Mellaril, Tofranil, Permitil, Sparine, Navane, Kemadrin, Noludar, Elavil, Sinequan, Vistaril, Celontin and Haldol. I developed NMS from the polypharmacy my shrink was into and reported him to the FDA. These drugs have dangerous side effects and all of them should have a black box warning.
Thank you for this post. One of the only ways that we can battle the big pharmaceutical companies and their advertisement dollars is through this kind of democratic information sharing approach, where we share our experiences and hopefully get the truth out there about which drugs are safe and which have dangerous side effects.
