Question: Who Can Help When One Feels Desperate, but Doesn't Want the Family to Know?
Answer: I know you don't want to worry your family, but I would recommend talking to them. They love you. Holding it in will only worry them more and not give you any outlet for your feelings. The support of friends and family is very important. It is also a good idea to gain support from other people with depression. Chat rooms and forums can be very helpful if you want to speak with someone who does not know you. There are also Crisis Hotlines available in the U.S., Canada, the UK and other locations around the world where you can reach a trained counselor to talk out your feelings.
