Question: Are These Supplements Safe With Prozac?
Are Ginkgo Biloba, megavitamins and Green Tea safe to take with Prozac? If yes, which name brands do you recommend for the Ginkgo and megavitamin? Where do you buy them at?
Answer: To the best of my knowledge there are no adverse interactions between Ginkgo and Prozac. The only type of drug I have read any warning about is anticoagulants (drugs which reduce blood clotting). Does your mega vitamin have any extra ingredients besides your standard vitamins and minerals? I've seen some that have various herbs, etc. added. If so, you will want to check out these added ingredients. There shouldn't be any problem with the vitamins and minerals though. As far as the green tea, this contains caffeine. Prozac can sometimes be rather stimulating so you might not want the extra caffeine. You can get decaffeinated green tea if that is a concern. I know Celestial Seasonings makes it.
